Join the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office and its partners for the 9th Annual World Heritage Festival! The World Heritage Festival is an annual collaborative event to celebrate and promote the San Antonio Missions, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Schedule of Events

8:00 AM: El Camino de San Antonio: Care of Creation Mass and Walk

The Care of Creation event begins with an outdoor Mass on the grounds of Mission Espada celebrated by Archbishop Gustavo García-Siller. After the Mass participants are invited to walk from Mission Espada to Mission San Juan Capistrano along the San Antonio River Trail. Signage throughout the route will describe the increasing need to care for the World. Paletas, Coffee, and tacos are provided by Catholic Charities at Mission San Juan. 10:00 AM: It's Still Here Tour

Join a National Park Ranger from San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and journey through time as you visit, the ONLY remaining Spanish Colonial ranching site in the world, Rancho de las Cabras. Part of San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, Rancho de las Cabras, is located about 35 miles south of San Antonio in Floresville, TX. This tour meets in Floresville, TX on Sunday, September 8, and begins at 10 AM. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. Please email SAAN_Interpretation@nps.gov for reservations and more information.
