The Women’s Storytelling Festival, produced annually in March by Better Said Than Done, is a festival celebrating all women and gender nonconforming spoken-word performing artists. The festival debuted in March 2020 in Fairfax City, VA. The Women’s Storytelling Festival is performed live, in-person, as well as live-streamed and available to online viewers for one month after the live-stream.

The Women’s Storytelling Festival is intended for a mature audience.

10am – 12pm - Morning Story Swap

Sunday morning is our open mic story swap. Bring a 5 – 6 minute story, put your name in the hat, and share the love. The story swap is live-streamed and recorded. If you’d like to share a story but not be on camera, please let us know when you sign up.

1:30pm – 3:15pm - Afternoon Showcase

Festival storytellers Laura Packer, Ingrid Nixon, and Linda Gorham share stories Sunday afternoon.

3:30pm – 5pm - Finale Showcase

The Women’s Storytelling Festival finale showcase includes storytellers Linda Gorham, Andrea Kamens, Tobey Ishii Anderson, Jessica Robinson, Carol Moore, and Ingrid Nixon.
