North Louisiana’s Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is back at RFC with a new slate of films! We are excited to host the OUTnorthLa Film Festival presented by PACE this September. The mission of OUTnorthLa is to recognize the important contributions that people of underrepresented gender and sexual identities have made to our culture and history.

Schedule:

12:30: The People's Joker
A law-breaking comedian who is grappling with her gender identity forms a new anti-comedy troupe with a friend and finds herself battling a fascistic caped crusader. Comedy, 1 hr 32 min., NR.

3:00: Summer Qamp
Surrounded by counsellors who relate to them, queer, non-binary and trans teens get to experience the joy of being kids in a supportive camp in rural Alberta. Documentary, 1 hr 20 min., NR.

5:15: Lesvia
Lesvia chronicles 40+ years of lesbian identity and conflict between the locals of a small village on the Greek island of Lesvos and lesbians who arrived searching for love, freedom and community. Documentary, 1 hr 17 min., NR.

6:00: OUTnorthLa Reception
The OUTnorthLa Film Festival reception will be held September 7 at the Robinson Film Center. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Tickets to the reception are $10 and can be purchased at outnorthla.org. Reception tickets do not include entrance to any screenings.
