The Kamome Festival will celebrate the 12 year anniversary of when the little boat — called Kamome — washed ashore in Crescent City as result of a tsunami in Rikuzentakata, Japan. This tragic event sparked a special sister city relationship between Rikuzentakata and Crescent City. This is mainly a FREE event.
An unforgettable evening filled with food, drink, entertainment and the inspiration of hope from the story of Kamome. This event is hosted by the Kamome Foundation and proceeds go to support the Del Norte High School Japan Club's exchange program.
-Beer/Sake/Cheese tasting with silent auction and art exhibit
-Japanese-inspired small bites with locally sourced ingredients
- Film screening of the Kamome documentary
-Auction for Del Norte High School's Japan Club
