Celebrate the migration of Sandhill Cranes through Teton Valley at this annual event. The 7th Annual Greater Yellowstone Crane Festival will be returning to Teton Valley this September 18-21. Come stay in Teton Valley to enjoy the festival. Lodging options can be found HERE.

All proceeds from Greater Yellowstone Crane Festival events go towards the Greater Yellowstone Sandhill Crane Initiative at Teton Regional Land Trust. This project’s purpose is to secure and actively manage habitat in Teton Valley in order to sustain the largest pre-migration staging population of Sandhill Cranes in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Schedule of Activities:

Morning Sandhill Crane Tour, 7am-9am, TRLT

Sign up for a morning tour to circumnavigate the habitat for staging Sandhill Cranes in Teton Valley. Each tour will have a naturalist on board to discuss crane ecology, behavior, and conservation. $20, limited to 20 people. Buy HERE.

Community Crane Art Fair and Auction, 5pm-7pm, Driggs City Center

The public is invited to join Teton Regional Land Trust for a celebration of crane art. In the foyer, we will have a crane art and sculpture auction featuring pieces by many local artists including this year’s festival poster art winner, Mary Lou Oslund. Mary Lou will speak about her unique wood burning technique used to create her award-winning piece. Outside on the plaza, we will have crane-themed dance performances by Summit School of the Arts and the Hispanic Heritage Dancers presented by the Hispanic Resource Center, as well as kid’s activities provided by Teton Arts and Crane Festival merchandise for sale.
