Festival of Eid

Festival of Eid
Saturday, Apr 13, 2024 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm
Asia Society Texas Center
1370 Southmore Boulevard

All are welcome to join us for our sixth annual Eid festival! Celebrate and learn through food, performances, artist demonstrations, activities, and games in the Museum District.

Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, is an occasion of peace, joy, and festivity. People visit friends and family, give gifts, and eat sweets and delicious food. Outside on our festival lawn, visit food stalls before heading indoors to play games and enjoy ticketed Bollywood dance performances. Receive a beautiful henna design, learn about Islamic arts and traditions from community partners, and shop at the indoor bazaar of local artists and small business owners. See an ebru demonstration, try your hand at calligraphy, and create your own arts and crafts mementoes — plus, enjoy free Xu Bing: Word Alchemy admission!
