Get ready for a joy-filled weekend at Christmas on the River! The festivities are packed with delightful tunes, lively performances, and that infectious holiday spirit. Christmas on the River will be part of the featured entertainment during the Savannah Christmas Market at Plant Riverside District this year. A variety of dance and musical acts will be featured on Friday evening, December 13 and Saturday, December 14. Take time to stroll and shop along the waterfront for some unique gifts available from our River Street merchants!
The star of the show, our 32nd Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, is set for Saturday, December 14, 2024. Imagine bands, over 50 vibrant floats, merry dancing groups, and more, all decked out in twinkling lights, creating a magical spectacle through downtown. The parade begins at Plant Riverside District on the west end of River Street at 5:30pm and continues to the east end, then winds its way up to Broughton Street and through City Market.

2:30 pm - 2:45 pm: All About Cheer and Dance Company
3:00 pm - 3:25 pm: Marylin Youmans School of Dance and Baton Twirling
3:30 pm - 3:50 pm: Gretchen Greene School of Dance
4:00 pm - 4:15 pm: The STUDIO Savannah
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm: Lighted Christmas Parade - Begins at Plant Riverside District, the route is east on River Street, up East Broad Ramp, down Bay Street, right on Lincoln Street, right on Broughton Street, right on Jefferson Street ending in City Market.
