Join the Mulvane Art Museum in a celebration of art that spans 100 years of serving the community as Topeka’s and Washburn University’s art museum. All galleries and the Art Lab will be open. There will be live music and entertainment, an outdoor tent filled with artmaking activities, scavenger hunts, live animals, food trucks, birthday cake, and so much more. This event is free and open to the public.

A few highlights:

- Explore the Mulvane galleries as you follow a scavenger hunt to earn a special prize.
- 100 Years of Animals: With the help of the Topeka Zoo, we will transform the Art Lab into an encounter with animals! The program includes a presentation, educational games, interaction with live animals, and discussions.
- The Last Carnival: Be amazed by fire performers!
- Coloratura: Make music and art simultaneously on Coloratura, an instrument invented by the Mulvane's Rita Blitt Interdisciplinary Artist Fellow, Camry Ivory.
- Workshop with Juniper Tangpuz: Get creative with us at this artmaking activity for families. Artist Juniper Tangpuz will lead participants in constructing their own animal-inspired sculptures.
- Performance by Dennis Rogers: Experience the mesmerizing process of Navajo sand painting. Artist Dennis Rogers will performs this ritualistic craft handed down to him from his father and grandfather.
